As U.S. daily COVID-19 infections reach record highs, the latest Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA’s) COVID-19 survey summary continues to show that a high number of health center sites (1,351) are temporarily closed. While the number of closed sites has decreased since its peak of 2,073 in early April, this figure translates into one in nine closed health center sites nationally, reflecting the toll that COVID-19 is having on health center capacity, staffing, and operations.
